What is an Infotainment System?

The latest infotainment systems are fully capable of syncing with your phone, monitoring all of your security features, guiding you with GPS navigation, and accessing music streaming services. In some cases, you can even get built-in Wi-Fi. It's a far cry from the radio and tuner setups of old cars, and it's one of the reasons that many people are upgrading to a newer car. In fact, most cars made after 2015 now have smart infotainment systems that let you do just about anything hands-free and voice-enabled.

Some of the really interesting features have to deal with the cameras installed in the side and rear of your vehicle, allowing you to check your blind spots easily and look for passengers or other cars as you back up. Some infotainment systems even connect to your smartphone's apps so you can use the touch screen in your car to access everything on your phone just as if it was your phone's screen.
